2006 22-Karat Gold Coin

The new 2006 22 karat gold coin from the Royal Canadian Mint captures the atmosphere of the early days when the lumberjacks worked in the great Canadian forests in the 1900 century filling the demand for timber.

This is a striking coin up to the usual excellent standard of the Royal Canadian Mint, with timer felling on the one side and Queen Elizabeth depicted on the other.

The face value of the coin is 200 Canadian dollars but the Mint is selling them for 489.95 Canadian Dollars. They are composed of 91.67% gold and 8.33 % silver with a total weight of 16 grams.

These are Proof coins with a diameter of 29 mm. They are set to become a collectors item as there are only 4500 coins minted.

The 2006 22-Karat Gold Coin is certainly a coin to watch out for and, if possible get before it runs out.
