2006 PURE GOLD COIN- IRIS VERSICOLOR

The Royal Canadian Mint has launched the 2006 pure gold coin – Iris Versicolor. The flower, Iris Versicolor, also called the Blue Flag, is the official floral emblem of Quebec and is a spring flower native to the province which was adopted in 1999.

The new 2006 pure gold coin – Iris Versicolor. Has a face value of 350 Canadian dollars and is the ninth in the series of provincial flowers. The coin is struck in 99.999 percent pure gold and hand polished to proof perfection. Only 2,006 have been minted, which matches the year of mintage of course, and costs around 1,296 Canadian Dollars.
