Latest Dutch Gold Coins

The Royal Dutch Mint has produced some very attractive Dutch gold coins. The first of these is called the Aruba Jubilee-coin 10 Florin Gold 2005.

This is a commemorative coin on the occasion of the 25 year reigning jubilee of Queen Beatrix. It was available from the end of August 2005 but you can still buy this very nice coin from the Royal Dutch mint.

Only 1500 have been minted and currently there are (at the time of writing) still five in stock.

They are .900 percent purse fine gold and weight in at 6.72 grams. This is a proof coin with a face value of 10 florins (approx $5.4USD).

The attractive design is by Frank L Croes

It is on sale for 139.95 Euros.

There is also the Netherlands Antilles Jubilee-Coin 10 Guilders Gold 2005. This also is a commemorative coin on the occasion of the 25 year reigning jublilee of Queen Beatrix.

This coin is essentially the same except the face value is ten guilders (the same as 10 florins in value) and the design, in this case, is by Tirzo Martha.

Again there was only 1,500 minted and there is (at the time of writing) only 5 in stock.

The Dutch Royal Mint also has some gold coins planned for 2006 including, curiously enough, a 10 euro ‘Australia” gold coin. We will be watching for this one.

In the meantime, both these latest Dutch gold coins would make an attractive addition to any coin enthusiasts collection.
