2006 Gold Bullion Sovereign

The British Royal Mint has recently issued a new 2006 Gold Bullion Sovereign.

Each sovereign is struck in fine 22 carat gold and has a weight of 7.99 grams of gold.

There is an issue limit of 75,000 coins so this is set to become a valuable future asset.

It has the traditional sovereign design of the image of St George slaying the Dragon by Benedetto Pistrucci on the reverse. In stunning contrast, the obverse carries the greatly-renowned portrait of the Queen by Ian Rank-Broadley FRB
