2006 1/10oz Proof Coin Saltwater Crocodile

Just released the Saltwater Crocodile - 2006 1/10oz Proof Coin is the first in a 3 year series of 15 coins called the Fauna Gold Series.
The gold coin is Proof Quality 99.99% Pure Gold and was is struck from 1/10oz of 99.99% pure gold in proof quality.
The coin's reverse depicts a Saltwater Crocodile (Crocodylus porosus). The world's largest reptile, a 'saltie' is capable of growing to between six and seven metres and weighing up to 1,000 kilograms. Distributed across tropical northern Australia, this fearsome creature inhabits fresh and saltwater, and will stalk any human foolish enough to swim in its vicinity. The year-date and The Perth Mint's traditional 'P' mintmark also appear in the design.
Issued as legal tender under the Australian Currency Act 1965, the coin depicts Ian Rank-Broadley's effigy of Her Majesty Queen Elizabeth II on its obverse.
Each coin is housed in a superb presentation case with a lid made from Australian jarrah timber. The case comes in a protective outer shipper featuring Discover Australia's distinctive logo and each coin is accompanied by a numbered Certificate of Authenticity.
Discover Australia is a magnificent collector coin program from the historic Perth Mint. Scheduled for release between 2006 and 2008, the program comprises pure gold, silver and platinum proof coins depicting Australia's amazing fauna, flora and landmarks.
The coin sells for $118.65 US plus shipping costs.
